Long term volunteering - experiences from Kent Wildlife Trust

To end National Careers Week we hear about the experiences of two volunteers with Kent Wildlife Trust looking for careers in the conservation sector – both involved in long term volunteering in education and engagement: Beth Randall graduated from the University of Leicester in 2019, unsure of which area of the sector she wanted to work in she applied and secured the volunteer trainee role with the Trust.

Nikki Creswell wanted to change careers from social care to the conservation sector – she had many transferrable skills but was lacking experience and training. Both have been able to also fit in part time paid work to ensure they can manage financially.
