Winter is coming - time to volunteer!

Hardy folk who earn their living in the countryside generally agree with Alfred Wainwright that "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing." Even in the depths of winter TCV volunteers carry out vital conservation work at LNRs, SSSIs, school grounds, waterways, wetlands, woodlands, coastal paths & urban parks. The changing seasons bring a change in work: spring is all about preparation for growing; summer is keeping on top of that growth, autumn involves a lot of woodland work and winter is digging over allotments and toasting marshmallows on a bonfire.
This weekend sees the first #GetOutsideDay organised by Ordnance Survey; see how you can get outside, get involved with your local group and volunteer read more here
