Skills Matching Service from Lantra Scotland

A new service which aims to match up rural and land-based businesses with potential employees during the COVID-19 pandemic is being launched by Lantra Scotland.
Supported by the Scottish Government, the skills matching service will help ensure that key businesses within Lantra’s sector — such as farms and businesses with animal welfare obligations — are able to find workers with relevant skills and experience so can continue to operate.

Liz Barron-Majerik, Lantra Scotland Director, explained: “The new service we’re offering should make it easier for employers and potential employees with the right skills to get in touch with each other in these challenging times. After people fill in our on-line form, we will match up key skills on offer with those required, and this filtering should make the process of recruitment easier for everyone. We’re wanting to hear from individuals with skills and experience who are looking for work, those who are just happy to lend a hand, if needed, as well as those keen to move into the sector. This will enable us to support employers and businesses who might have an urgent need for staff or helpers with relevant skills and experience.”

Employers looking to recruit a large number of key seasonal or unskilled workers should contact NFUS or register with Our Skillsforce Job Hub.
