Deluge.

There's rain and then there's monsoon-like deluge.

That's what we've just had, it didn't last long and I'm really glad we're on a flat bit well above the river and far enough away from the moorside not to worry, otherwise I think we'd be baling out right now.
Just before this latest cloud burst I looked out of the window and it looked like snow because the rain was being hurled down so heavily it was knocking the petals off the rambling rose!
