A three year, £3m project is underway, helping to secure the future of upland commons in England
Goathland, where the CJS office is based is surrounded by common land, where sheep happily graze, and the area wouldn’t be the same without it. But this land management system is under threat. The Foundation for Common Land is partnering with 25 other organisations with major funding, to secure common land for the future. They are encouraging people to access common land and learn from those who have managed this habitat for nature for generations.
