Hallowe'en, Guy Fawkes or Christmas?
Well we saw our first proper Christmas advert today - in the Telegraph , Happy Pringlemas it said, complete with a decorated tree - and it's not even hallowe'en yet! Talking of which my patio pumpkin has decided at the last minute it will fruit and has three golf ball sized yellow squashes, it did have a rather traumatic start being frosted, slugged and then frosted again with brief sojourns in the greenhouse between times so really it's going rather well. However, even with the best will in the world and no matter how green my fingers are (not) I don't think they're ever going to make it to full orange lanterns.
Office dog Hebe has been undergoing her usual end of summer - early autumn firework desensitisation routine, we even got a new CD which makes her go a bit 'whizz' but over time as the volume has been increased she's gradually improved. We got some new herbal mix from herbal vet Katie as well which she'll start today. So with luck she won't be too bad, a bit dopey but not too traumatized.
AW has been doing a good impression of sub-ed HB today (HB away this week), we've not quite reached the Crunchie stage but nearly there now. This week's Weekly edition is 12 pages long with 35 new paid posts of which 28 came direct to CJS, it's already online and paper editions will be dispatched later today. We're launching our biennial survey this week, with lots of 'incentives' to help you get to the end (only 25 questions not too onerous we hope). Tell us what you think of CJS and what you want to see in the future.
