Regeneration game

A CLA member the Clinton Devon Estate sprang into action in 2012 when 15 hectares of mature Japanese larch was threatened by Phytophthora ramorum. Identified nearby, the disease had already decimated swathes of trees in the south west region. They succeeded in saving the trees and highlighted the success to help people understand that tree felling is sometimes necessary to protect future generations of woodland.

They have now taken the same proactive approach with ash dieback and in doing so are creating perfect habitats for all sorts of creatures.
