Addressing barriers to woodland management: the latest tools and techniques

Did you know that around 50% of private woodland in England is classed as unmanaged?
It is vital that tools and support are available to landowners and managers to help them overcome the many funding or knowledge barriers landowners may have, and unlock the opportunities that woodlands and forestry can present. 

As a result, the Northwoods Innovation Programme was established last year to support land-based professionals in the North East and Yorkshire to do precisely that.
