A career in public rights of way

We all agree that having public rights of way to green spaces is incredibly important, but who is actually responsible for making this happen? 

We all love being able to take walks through the countryside, but we simply wouldn’t be able to if there was no one maintaining the pathways, bridges, fences, and everything else that makes it possible. 

Chris is a Public Rights of Way Officer for Lancashire County Council and in our featured article today we hear about how he got started in his role, his discovery of how important the role is for the community, and the challenges he faces battling with budgets.
