Our kind of beach: an empty one!

A couple of weeks ago Amy took her girls down to Whitby beach to spend the afternoon in the sunshine as she said: "Sometimes beach is more important than school especially when the weather is this good." I think everyone is ready for a home schooling break! They spent the time swimming and rockpooling although most of their find were dead rather than live ones and thankfully not the jellyfish that Carla had reported seeing the day earlier. 

Carla and daughter are also beach regulars and during lockdown it was often part of their daily exercise (they're within walking distance - just).  I think it may be a while until the pier is as empty as this again.
