Olly Buck is currently a Volunteer Ranger with North Norfolk District Council – find out more about the role during #NCW2020
The Volunteer Ranger role with North Norfolk DC runs for 2 years. Olly Buck is currently in the role and has gained experience in all aspects of the job. He has particularly enjoyed opening up the rides and using the cuttings to make habitat piles. Olly says “some of the rides were becoming very dark and overgrown. The difference in space and light levels has been huge. Hopefully this will encourage wildflowers to grow, help to maintain our rare butterfly species and increase reptile numbers.” This spring and summer, he looks forward to seeing the result of all the hard work.
