Goathland Plough Stots Day of Dance - a local tradition

The Goathland Plough Stots is one of Yorkshires traditional long sword teams, if not the oldest still dancing their own dance as performed as far back as the early 19th century.
At the weekend AW watched one small W perform dances around the village with 6 others from Goathland Primary School. The first time a team from the school had been fielded at the Day of Dance in 26 years.
Following in the footsteps of Father W and great Uncle W, it was a very proud moment.
