Mince pies
Advent is here already, and in the CJS office that means mince pies! Yum, yum - a dozen pies for a year of 'merry months' will be no hardship at all. Last night the lights on the village Christmas tree were lit, mulled wine was drunk and carols sung. As the last carol was dying away a large yellow (lesser spotted) gritter went past to a round of rapturous applause (more for the tree organisers than the lorry I think). We were grateful for the grit this morning, a very heavy frost overnight and cold all day but the woodstove is doing a wonderful job of keeping the office warm.
