Quango watch

So at last it's official, quangos are to be bonfired - but which? Well, mostly for the countryside sector we're still waiting as the main three (FC, Eng Nat & Env A) are all listed as "Retain and substantially reform" with further details to follow assorted reviews which means we're not really any the wiser. They will still exist in some form but as to what that will be we're still waiting. The Broads and the National Park Authorities are also saved from the axe but will be made more accountable - more paperwork perhaps?
And British Waterways - well it's to become the National Trust of the canals! Collection tins at the ready.
